Plio Academy is building a moderated forum where verified parents can share experiences, ask questions, and support each other — without the noise of general parenting spaces.
Khan Academy and similar platforms do an excellent job delivering content — but they offer parents no structured place to connect with each other. When your 9-year-old asks a hard question about AI and jobs, or your teenager wants to build a chatbot, you're largely on your own finding peer support.
This forum fills that gap. It is peer-driven, moderated by Plio Academy staff and trusted parent volunteers, and scoped tightly to AI literacy — so conversations stay useful.
This forum is not for children. No child accounts. No child observers. No family-shared logins.
COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) imposes strict rules on online communities where children under 13 participate. To keep Plio Academy COPPA-safe for your kids, we run the parent forum as a completely separate, adults-only service.
Entry requires verified guardian status. You must have an active, verified guardian account on plio.academy before you can access the forum. The SSO flow checks this automatically — there is no manual signup path that bypasses it.
If you share your forum account credentials with your child, your account will be permanently suspended. This is not negotiable.
Tier-specific categories are auto-unlocked based on your child's active tier. You can participate in all general categories regardless of tier.

Discussion for families in the Explorer tier (ages 5–8). Lesson walkthroughs, screen-time tips.

Create a guardian account on plio.academy
Sign up at plio.academy and complete guardian verification — this links you to at least one student account and confirms you are an adult.
Request forum access
Use the "Request access" button below. We'll verify your guardian status manually during the private beta.
Single sign-on via Clerk
When your access is approved, you log in to the forum using the same Plio Academy account. There is no separate forum password. Your tier is synced automatically.
First-post moderation queue
Your first five posts go through a moderation review before appearing publicly. This is standard practice to catch spam and orient new members to community norms.

No child-identifying details.
Do not share your child's full name, school name, photo, or any detail that could identify them publicly.

Share experiences, not diagnoses or legal opinions. Point to professionals for anything clinical.

Affiliate links, product pitches, and unsolicited tutoring offers are removed immediately.
Keep it on-topic.
This community is about AI literacy and raising kids in a tech-saturated world. General parenting debates belong elsewhere.
Violations are reviewed by staff. Bans are permanent for serious offenses. Full guidelines will be pinned in the Welcome category on launch day.
