Plio Academy is a nonprofit delivering self-paced AI and technology education to students ages 5–17 — nearly 500 lessons across five subjects, COPPA & FERPA-compliant, and built on open standards to connect with district systems. The AI track is mapped to the AI4K12 Five Big Ideas; a broader crosswalk (CSTA, ISTE, NGSS) is in progress.

Built COPPA-first from day one. Children never create accounts — guardians manage everything. No third-party trackers on student-facing pages.
Standards-Aligned Curriculum
Nearly 500 lessons across five subjects spanning ages 5 through adult. Lessons are available in Spanish as well as English; the math track is English-first while its Spanish edition is produced. A draft standards crosswalk covering NGSS, CSTA, Common Core Math, CEE Economics, AI4K12 and Nature of Science is in progress and currently maps 18 lessons; it is shared on request to support curriculum evaluation and is not a claim of accreditation.

Plio Academy is a nonprofit. Public school districts access the platform at no cost. No per-seat licensing.
Built to Connect With Your Stack
Canvas and Google Classroom OAuth connections are live today. Plio is being built toward open education standards — OneRoster for rostering and SAML/OIDC for SSO — so it can slot in alongside Clever, ClassLink, Schoology, and the tools you already run. LTI 1.3 is not offered. See the integration roadmap for exactly where each one stands.
Compliance Ready
Plio Academy ships with full compliance documentation for district IT and procurement teams: E-Rate eligibility statement, IL SOPPA, CA AB 1584, NY Ed Law 2-d, TX SB 820, WA OSPI state compliance table, FERPA school-official status, COPPA operator statement, and CIPA notes for your network filter team. Data processing agreement available on request. Standards: the AI track is mapped concept-by-concept to the AI4K12 Five Big Ideas (published below, generated from the curriculum source, K–8 only). A broader draft crosswalk across NGSS, CSTA, Common Core Math, CEE Economics and Nature of Science is in progress and currently covers 18 lessons; it is early and we would rather say so than overstate it.
